THE AUDIENCE at the MOB @ MIT Show was packed with a who's who of rock stars. Since there was a pile of pro photogs in the pit snapping the band, I spent more of my energy taking pix people (& bubbles & dogs & trees) in the crowd.

It was really GGGGREAT to HEAR some of the NEW SONGS off of Mission Of Burma's The Sound The Speed The Light (on Matador Records) and of course they blasted the classic MOB tunes at the end.

Remember ? LIFE MAGAZINE? 1935-70s Complete Issues Online. The Issue that I REMEMBER is The Beatles on the 1968 Cover.

THIS issue of LIFE with The Beatles on the cover in 1968 (when I was TWELVE YEARS OLD) was the one that I personally REMEMBER the most. I saved this issue for years, but lost it somewhere in my nomad travels. The article was by Hunter Davies. I remember getting his Beatles book around this time as well.

FREE PAPERCRAFT ARP and MOOG SYNTHS. I took an electronic music synth class back in '75 and learned on the ARP 2600 and Emu synths back at College for the Recording Arts in San Francisco. Never could swing a mega ARP or MOOG, but scored an ARP ODYSSEY (white face) back in '76 and Moog Taurus II in 95 and recently the ARP/MOOG software synths.

JAMMIN' on my ARP ODYSSEY...
Bought this original ARP 1974 model used when I moved to LA (found in an advert in The Recyler) in 1976. Although it could use a tune-up it is still in action.


MY TAURUS II...
I actually did get this MOOG for FREE. Found in the trash can at my then rehearsal/studio space and all it really needed was power supply adapter and a din cable to connect pedals.
